Sigma AU: GHI Warships

Goblin Class Fast Attack Jet

The Goblin class FAJ is a single seat fixed-wing tailless aircraft. It features two autocannons as the primary armament which are used to destroy specific parts of a target rather than to completely destroy a target. This attack style is more humane because it often allows the pilot of potential targets a chance to escape, and allows a ground crew to salvage the wreck.

Skeleton Class Fighter Jet

The Skeleton class fighter jet is a single seat fixed wing tailed aircraft. It is based on the Goblin class but is slightly larger and has a higher towing capacity. It features three GAU-12 Equalizers which it uses to completely destroy even the most heavily armored targets in fast paced, supersonic strafing runs as after only two seconds of sustained fire, the craft has slowed to subsonic speeds due to recoil from all three guns.

Hammerhead Class Dropship

The Hammerhead dropship is a VTOL-capable shuttle-type ship commonly used in multiple roles around the world. It is the workhorse of many companies and has been modified extensively by GHI and other corporations. It has four engine pods, each with four clusters of atmospheric thrusters. Its dry weight is about 130,000kg. GHI makes two standard versions. The first is an infantry transport capable of moving up to 160,000kg of personnel or cargo. It is airtight with its own oxygen system, however, is not capable of atmosphereless locomotion. The second version is severely skeletonized, reducing the overall dry weight to 97,000kg, increasing the cargo capacity to 190,000kg.

Large Landships

GHI manufactures landships in addition to aircraft and spacecraft.

FGS Ratte

With a name based off of Hitler's Landkreuzer P1000, GHI makes a tracked, 130m (425 foot)-long mobile command center. It is designed to be highly mobile, as each 12.5m tall track wheel has independent air suspension. It is theoretically capable of speeds as high as 385KM/h (240mph), although it has never been tested beyond 70kmh (45mph). It features two large turbines in the rear on either side of the rear hangar to aid in acceleration and to help prevent getting stuck when going up steep inclines.

Its armaments include two railguns with an effective range of 200km, and several smaller turrets. It has four anti-aircraft turrets, four artillery guns, several large HMGs mounted to the exterior in the wheel wells, and several RCWS throughout the ship.

Its main purpose is not assault, so it features a hydraulic system to plant it on flat terrain as if it were a static building. Both the wheel suspension and hydraulics are rated for Magnitude 8 earthquakes and were tested by detonating a nuclear warhead underground nearby. The Ratte features a fully functional life support system and all exterior doors are airlocked. It is theoretically capable of underwater operation due to using water cooled nuclear reactors for power, however it lacks proper propulsion. A probable use would be to hide the vehicle underwater to avoid enemy detection.

In addition to its reactors, it has four massive solar panel arrays above the bridge to power the station during the day and charge its battery banks if nuclear fuel is depleted or land power is unavailable.

GHI claims to be able to complete a space-capable version of the Ratte. However, this variant must be launched into space on its own once complete and no spaceship currently exists with a 7-million kilogram payload capacity.
